Mogs Mutterings I am writing this in North Northumberland during a sunny August bank holiday weekend. The roads here are deserted away from the coast. The scenery around the Cheviots is second to none in England. It is nice to return to my childhood haunts so here I sit with a glass of red wine doing my mutterings for the website. We have hundreds of ducks flying over every evening and it is so peaceful every evening. Sadly the Revesby Rally was cancelled but, on the day, we met many of them at the pub by Revesby. J & I were out in the Morgan and we came upon them all. Very nice to see that they were there despite the absence of the show. By the time you read this we shall be at the Isle of Wight Rally. This is our fourth year there. Fingers crossed for some sunshine. We are not at the September meeting as we are in South West France for a relaxing holiday. We are not in the Morris this time but we shall be visiting the Loire valley on our way back. This is to visit the same vineyard as in May to get fresh supplies of red and white wine. We shall have an easier time carrying the wine back than with the Minor! At the last committee meeting we made some progress with the Club badge. We have approved the use of the design I discussed with Rebecca when I ordered the bags for the Rally. It would be as well if everyone at the meeting confirms the decision. Once that is done we can take a list of those interested in ordering polo shirts or tee shirts printed with our badge. All items are from the Fruit of the Loom range. The price will depend on the number ordered. For example an order of 25 will produce a cost of approx £10 for polos and £8 for tee shirt. There is a huge choice of colours. If the order is twice as big then the price would come down by around £1 per item. We are not looking at making a profit for the Club. Let me know who is interested. If there is enough interest we can then develop other lines. We have to be careful to ensure that the Club does not carry too much unsold stock as it would rapidly absorb the balance in our account.
