Host Day at Street Life Museum High Street Hull

This was
our first host day at this venue as a new club and hopefully for many years to
come. The weather was glorious in the morning after torrential rain over night.
We even had two members arrive
in their wonderful red tourer with the hood down! Luckily the museum staff
allowed some of us to park indoors for public viewing thankfully mine was one of
them as it turned showery in the afternoon. The turnout was a bit disappointing
but on the whole it was a very successful and enjoyable day. All our members who
attended did us proud with the amount of cakes and biscuits they provided and
everyone had a fair share even leaving plenty for the museum staff.
Geoff
and Joan the members with the fore mentioned red tourer had a drooling
experience when they spotted a single decker coach in the museum that they spent
some of their courting days on, how's that for nostalgia. Street Life Museum is
a great venue and those who haven’t had the experience should do so, they will
not be disappointed. It's a great credit to the council and all who help
maintain and run this establishment we look forward to our next visit.
